About Refresh Tears Eye Drops
Refresh Tears Eye Drops from Allergan is an eye drop made with carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). Carboxymethylcellulose is a lubricant that acts like artificial tears.
It is used for dry eyes, mild eye irritation from dust, wind or smoke and keeping the eye moist alongside other treatment. Speak to your vet first if your animal is unwell, very young, old or on other medicines.
Allergan makes this medicine for people. Vets sometimes recommend human medicines for animals when they suit the case. It can be used in different animal species. Ask your vet how to use it for your animal.

Features and Benefits
- Lubricant eye drop. Used for dry eyes and mild eye irritation from dust, wind or smoke.
- Eye drop. Goes straight onto the eye, where it is needed.
- Vet-guided. Simple to add to your animal's care routine, with your vet's guidance.
How It Works
- Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). It forms a soothing film over the eye surface that keeps it moist.
How to Use
- Before you start. Wash your hands. Gently wipe away any discharge from around the eye with clean, damp cotton.
- Putting in drops. Tilt your pet's head up, pull the lower lid down gently and let the drops fall into the eye without the tip touching it. Hold the eyelids closed for a few seconds.
- Other eye drops. If you use more than one eye medicine, wait about 5 minutes between them.
- Storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, unless the pack gives other storage directions. Keep out of reach of children.
Safety and Precautions
- Do not let the dropper tip touch the eye or any other surface, so the bottle stays clean.
- If the eye looks more red, cloudy or painful, stop and see your vet.
- If your pet's condition does not improve, or gets worse, stop and see your vet.
