ABSOLUTE CALCIUM SAUSAGE

About Drools Absolute Calcium Sausage

Strong bones and teeth depend on getting enough calcium and phosphorus in the right balance, and many pet parents like to give their dog a little extra support in a form the dog actually enjoys.

Drools Absolute Calcium Sausage is a soft, chicken-flavoured sausage treat with added calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D3. It is made with real chicken and chicken liver, so most dogs take it like a treat rather than a supplement. The jar holds 32 sausages.

Drools adds magnesium and vitamins B1, B12 and C as well. Vitamin D3 helps the body absorb calcium. The sausages are soft and easy to digest, and you can give them whole, slice them for training or crumble one over dry food.

It is made in India by Drools Pet Food, an Indian pet food company.

• Vet advice first. If your dog already takes a calcium supplement or eats a complete food made for its life stage, ask your vet before adding more calcium.

How to Use

• Whole. Hand one sausage to your dog as a daily treat.
• Sliced. Cut a sausage into small rounds to use as training rewards through the day.
• As a topper. Crumble a sausage over dry food to tempt a fussy eater.
• Storage. Close the jar tightly after use and keep it in a cool, dry place. Keep fresh, clean drinking water available at all times.

Safety and Precautions

• Large-breed puppies. Growing large-breed puppies can be harmed by too much calcium. Feed a complete puppy food and check with your vet before adding calcium treats.
• Do not double up. Avoid giving this with another calcium supplement unless your vet has advised it.
• Watch the total. Count the sausages as part of the daily treat allowance and cut back if your dog gains weight.
• Health conditions. Dogs with kidney problems or on a prescription diet should only have this with vet approval.
