About Alembic Sharkoferrol Vet Syrup
A cow or buffalo that is weak, eating poorly or pale may be short of iron and minerals. This is common around calving, or after illness or heavy worms.
Sharkoferrol Vet is an iron and vitamin tonic for livestock from Alembic Pharmaceuticals. It contains malt extract, calcium gluconate and ferric ammonium citrate, an iron source. Copper, cobalt, vitamins D3 and B12, folic acid, niacinamide and biotin are added.
It is used as a feed supplement for cattle, buffaloes, horses, camels, sheep, goats and pigs. Retailers list it for support in anaemia, poor appetite and low energy, and for growth and reproductive performance.

How to Use
- Giving it. Mix the daily amount into feed or give it by mouth.
- How long. Use it for the period your vet advises. A tonic supports recovery but does not fix the cause of anaemia.
- Storage. Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light, with the lid tightly closed.
Safety and Precautions
- Find the cause. Pale gums, weakness and weight loss can come from worms, ticks, blood parasites or poor feed. Ask your vet to check the cause.
- Do not overdose. Too much iron is harmful. Stick to the listed amount.
- Not for pets. This version is for livestock. Use Sharkoferrol Pet for dogs and cats.
