It is used for ticks, demodectic mange (demodex mites) in dogs and mites and lice in livestock. Speak to your vet first if your animal is unwell, very young, old or on other medicines.

It can be used in different animal species. Ask your vet how to use it for your animal.

Amitraz Acaricide (kills mites and ticks)

How to Use

  • Dilute first. Never use it neat. Dilute the measured amount in clean water exactly as the pack or your vet directs, and make a fresh mix each time.
  • Apply. Wear gloves. Sponge the diluted wash over the whole coat down to the skin, working against the lie of the hair, and let it dry naturally without rinsing or towelling.
  • Work safely. Treat animals in a well-aired place, keep the wash away from the eyes and mouth, and stop the animal licking until the coat is dry.

Safety and Precautions

  • Always dilute exactly as directed. Never apply undiluted.
  • Do not use on cats, horses or Chihuahuas. It can be toxic to them.
