About NutriBird A21 Hand Feeding Formula
Hand reared baby parrots and other chicks need a soft, warm food. It is fed with a spoon or syringe until they can eat on their own.
NutriBird A21 Hand Feeding Formula is a hand feeding formula from Versele-Laga for baby birds from hatching until weaning.
How to Feed
- Mixing. Mix with warm, boiled water to the thickness the pack shows for your chick's age. Younger chicks need a thinner mix.
- Temperature. Feed at about 38 to 40°C. Food that is too hot burns the crop, and food that is too cold is not digested.
- Crop. Let the crop empty almost fully between feeds.
How to Use
- Storage. Close the pack and keep it cool and dry.
- Use by. Use within the time printed on the pack once opened.
Safety and Precautions
- Fresh each time. Mix fresh food for every feed and throw away leftovers.
- Hygiene. Clean spoons and syringes well after every feed.
- See an avian vet. Call a vet if the crop stays full, the chick stops begging or seems weak.
