Bravecto 2 to 4.5kg is a chewable tablet from MSD Animal Health that contains fluralaner 112.5mg. Fluralaner is a long acting flea and tick medicine from the isoxazoline group.

It is used for fleas and ticks for 12 weeks. Ask your vet whether it suits your dog, especially if your dog has a health condition or takes other medicines.

One Bravecto chew protects your dog against fleas and ticks for 12 weeks, so you only need four chews a year instead of monthly treatments.

Ticks are a year round problem in most of India. They spread tick fever (ehrlichiosis and babesiosis), which can be fatal. Steady protection is one of the best ways to prevent it.

How It Works

• Fluralaner. It is absorbed into the blood. Fleas and ticks that bite are exposed to it, which overstimulates their nerves and kills them.

How to Use

• Dose. Give one chew every 12 weeks, with or just after a meal.
• Giving it. Offer the tablet by hand as a treat, or hide it in a small piece of food. Check that the whole dose is eaten.
• Check for ticks. Ticks must bite to be killed, so you may still see the odd tick attached. It will die and drop off within a day or so.
• Mark the date. Write down the date you give each chew, or set a phone reminder for 12 weeks later.
• Storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, unless the pack gives other storage directions. Keep out of reach of children.

Safety and Precautions

• Give it with or just after a meal so it is absorbed properly.
• Use with care in dogs with a history of fits.
• Not for puppies under 8 weeks or dogs under 2kg.
• This product is labelled for dogs. Do not use it on cats or other animals unless your vet says so.
